Shanghai SECCO Petrochemical Company Limited(www.secco.com.cn)is one of two main partners of Lucite International (China) in SCIP, it was founded by China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation (Sinopec Corp.), Shanghai Petrochemical Company Limited (SPC) and BP East China Investment Company Limited with an investment of about $ 2.7 billion in a 30%, 20%, 50% proportion. It is by far one of the largest petrochemical projects of joint venture in China .

Having 8 main production plants, Shanghai SECCO is featured with world-class integration of upstream and downstream, generating the benefits of scale economy. The 900 ktpa ethylene plant is by far one of the one-piece facilities that have the highest production capacity in the world. The other 7 plants having all reached world scale include: 600 ktpa polyethylene plant, 500 ktpa styrene plant, 500 ktpa aromatic extraction unit, 300 ktpa polystyrene plant, 260 ktpa acrylonitrile plant and 250 ktpa polypropylene plant and 90 ktpa butadiene plant.

Lucite International (China) Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. uses HCN from SECCO ACN plant as one major raw material, and other utilities, infrastructures as well as various site services. MMA plant is one of fully integrated plants in SECCO site.

VSL, Vopak Shanghai Limited(www.vopak.com), is another main partner of Lucite International in SCIP. It is also a joint venture between Dutch Royal Vopak and SCIPDC in a 50%, 50% proportion. It locates in SCIP, and provides the logistic services special for liquid chemicals: jetty, storage, drumming and transportation.

Lucite International (China) also has close relationship with VSL. All main materials and product, e.g. Methanol/ Acetone/ MMA are unloaded/loaded/stored in VSL. Closely cooperation with Vopak makes up of LICC’s safe, healthy, environmental, creditable, perfect logistics system, dedicated tank store, ship, tanker truck, driver of LICC’s policy ensure SHE and qualified MMA. LICC’s product covers whole China market through ship, tanker truck and the shore tanks located in ShenZhen, ShangHai, LanShan.
